Christian Catholic Hermit Mystic: Mostly Spiritual, Not Temporal

I'm mostly spiritual, not temporal. I'm interested in the spiritual life, of the life of Christ, of the mystical elements of religion (a title of two volumes by a great writer, Baron Von Hugel), and of the spiritual and temporal application of Scripture in personal and societal daily life.  I enjoy sensing and pondering and writing of that which is above, of the Law of God--God's Law of Love--more than the laws created by humankind, especially that of canon (or church) laws.

I grieve for Catholics who become ensnared in the entangling nets of the temporal.... their limbs thrashing about 'neath the surface of the waters of which years ago God showed me that I was desperately trying to untangle the nets to free the people--some whom I recognized from parishes including priests--who were caught in these nets.  Then God spoke to me.  He said, "They will be all right. I will help them. But you--you must swim on out into the deep! Go! Swim on to the other side!"

So I stopped treading water by the immense nets that held all these people just below the surface of of the waters, and I turned outward and began to swim.  I looked to as far as my sight would allow, and I saw no end of the vast waters.  I swam on and on, and I am still swimming.

I am swimming, progressing onward into the deep, into the unknown of which God pointed and and directed those years ago.  I am swimming and progressing onward, despite my spine half fused and the next level up already deteriorating; and my neck has gone from being deemed "bad" to severe in less than a year between MRI's.  It is so severe that the neurosurgeon decided he did not want to operate unless it becomes life-threatening.  He had neurological testing performed, and although at times I wake up with my arms thumb through the hands, thus far feeling has returned in time.

Recently, I have had another major surgery on my left knee; that, too, has been a failed surgery of 4-6% who have this occurrence of collagen cells reacting even during surgery to what is called oxidative stress.  This causes the cells to grow rapidly and thickly in a fibrous, impervious layer--mine two-inches thick covering over my artificial knee.  The pain is horrendous; my life style is forever altered between trying to do painful stretches throughout the day and using pain medications, and also trying to tend to the temporal responsibilities of the temporal aspect of my bodily existence here, now, on this temporal earth.

Yet my soul supersedes all else. I know this even if the temporal existence and those temporalites who exist around my temporal body, mostly unseen by me but here, there, ensnared and thrashing about in the immense nets beneath the surface of what is the temporal world and that of the deep and wide of eternity.  That is, of the world in which faith in God leads those of us who have all but the bodily left off from the temporal world and those thrashing about.  That is, of the temporalites who are ensnared in the temporal nets 'neath the surface of the waters; the focus and bulk of their accountability given over to the temporal world of temporal experiences and situations with other temporalites.

The only way forward, out  of the entangling nets of the temporal, is to keep swimming, keep going, onward and forward, seeing not the other side.  Yet know that  freedom and blissful of touches of grace await us the more we broaden our sights, strengthen our strokes, not look back! Keep on! Keep on swimming out into the deep, onward with faith and hope, having let go of trying to free those who are not yet ready, those who do not grasp in reality there is something far more that awaits us the farther we reach with our hearts and minds and our very souls determined in faith that God is with us and also there for us, both, and, for all eternity.

But we must stay clear of the entangling nets, once we have been freed from the temporal reality that these nets ensnare us, keep us tied and entangled to a point of the blind thrashing about  becoming our norm within our existence in the temporal world and indeed, ensnared as well in the temporal tangibles and temporalizations of the temporal world of the temporal church.

From the moment of realization of what is beyond us, what is unseen yet so very real, beyond us out into the depths and breadths of the spiritual life in His Real Presence, always and forever, we in trust simply and profoundly, in unknowingness of ontological beingness--we keep progress.

Onward and forward we progress into the very soul of God Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth. Yet God is the One, the All, to Whom we keep progressing despite the hindrances of our insufferable temporal bodies. For within these bodies, once we free ourselves in faith, hope, and love to give over to God the tending of those caught up into and of the entangling nets of the temporal realm of the world at large and the temporal world of church, and of all those choosing to remain stuck reman entangled in the temporal--we find that we are brought through and onward and forward, despite the ongoing effort of exchanging our own thrashing about with that of taking progressively forward strokes.

We are bound and determined, no matter what, to keep going to whatever is there--to the heaven of God's Beingness and Energy, to that of God's pervasive and effervescent God's Allness.  God is there for us; God is with us along the endless breadth and depth of forward progression.  We know not but that God loves us and asks of us to keep on receiving His Love and learning His Love, to learn to love, to love God and others (and ourselves) as God loves.

This is the mostly spiritual  that at some point of which we do not know other than to know this point exists, in which we become deeply spiritual within the spiritual of God Himself. We become one with God's Beingness and Allness.  We become as if one with God's Supreme Soul. The as if becomes the truth, beauty, and goodness of not only spiritual union, but of mystical marriage with consummation.

This is what awaits us. This is why becoming aware of something more out there, beyond the entangling nets 'neath the surface of the waters. This is why we persevere in our seeking, no matter what befalls us or tries to interfere with the progression, we keep advancing by becoming mostly spiritual and less to least temporal.  We become unentangled from those temporalites who yet choose or acccept--either one--the temporal always mostly, and more than the the breadth and depth of the spiritual counterparts God desires for us, for our minds, hearts, and souls--if we simply keep going, once we are freed from the stuckness of the temporal nets.

Pray His Real Presence free everyone's mind, heart, and soul from the stuckness of entanglement in the ensnaring nets of whatever temporal.  Note the difference between being entangled by those temporal nets that represent the temporalization of the world at large and the world of church, as well as of the world of ourselves remaining entangled until by the grace of God, we are released through the teachings and life and sacrificial death of Christ Jesus, and ultimately by God's will we are freed from ourselves being entangled. Praise God with each inch of disentanglement, God's will and desire for us.

If I were an adept artist, I'd watercolor or pencil or ink sketch an image of this most powerful and real locution and vision.  I pray the description and word-metaphor of the entangling nets 'neath the doldrum-deceptive surface of the waters, assists the awakening from the living dead alive.  I pray that all temporalites realize the vast depths and breadths of the spiritual and masterful mystical realm of eternity that awaits us now, and has for every now of the present moment we've spent remaining piteously and desperately blind to our thrashing about stuckness in the temporal, of the entangling nets.

God bless His Real Presence is within us, the love of God, the love of God as others love, and to love ourselves as God loves, will always be ours to grasp and take with us onward and forward to reach that point of center, amidst the breadth and width of the Holiness of God's desire for us.

Swim on, swim on!  God will take care of all these others who are in His care, of whom God will free, will detangle these others who then must stay free and clear of the entangling nets. Rather, praise God for the faith, hope, and love of the reality of the blissful crossing that God has for us, onward and forward.

The Stairway to Heaven is ours; we are by swimming onward and forward, not held back--we are led to the base.  The swimming onward and forward propels us, despite not knowing where nor able to see beyond ourselves.

The Stairway to Heaven is given us, to provide for our onward and forward progression into, and then eternally remaining in the spiritual of our God-infused minds, hearts, and souls.  We advance all the while our insufferable attachments to our bodies and the temporalized aspects of the temporal world of varying types, fall far beyond us as well as the temporalites' plights.

God will take care of them, just as God is taking care of us.  It is never too late nor too early to learn to love, to love to learn to love God, to love others (and ourselves) as God loves!

Christian Catholic Mystic Hermit of God and His Church Eternal: Marvelous to Ponder and Receive

I find this powerful, and it is where I'm "at" spiritually at this point.  So very helpful if I can but absorb and free myself more from the temporal of body and all the body and temporal of this realm seems to require.  Surely the weight can be reduced,  simplified, of course--the temporal needs and responsibilities.  But my mind and heart and soul can be freed; I know it.  But I don't know quite how other than ask Jesus to help and provide this freedom so I can endure the temporal encumbrances.

This from John of the Cross in Spiritual Canticles--powerful and shocking in a way, but seems where I am spiritually now, and why temporal churches are that which God has progressed me through and into this other of His Mystical "Church" if it can be labeled something that has such strong temporal connotations and denotations, both.

I have guilt about it or did, and realize it is actually as it ought to be, and is best in progressing in Christ and out of the temporal churches and temporal world which hold no more means of enduring in the world, not really, so on to the spiritual and mystical of His Real Presence and otherwise kind of suffer out the aspects of temporal.

Yet, I ought to free myself from as much as feasible of temporal yet that is the problem having a body here and the body needing abode and to keep going, and abode and temporal with many responsibilities that are temporal.

Thank  you, John of the Cross, for these thoughts, truths, and realities of spiritual growth and progression, and in Scripture as Paul writes of dying to self and being alive in Christ.

[It] ought to be known that when a soul treading the spiritual road has reached such a point that she has lost all roads and natural methods in her communion with God, and no longer seeks him by reflections or forms or feelings or by any other way of creatures and the senses, but has advanced beyond them all and beyond all modes and manners, and enjoys communion with God in faith and love, then it is said that God is her gain, because she has certainly lost all that is not God and has truly lost herself.

Entire selection:

Saint John of the Cross (1542-1591)

Carmelite, Doctor of the Church

Spiritual Canticle, 29,11 (© Institute of Carmelite Studies)

“Whoever loses their life for my sake will find it”

“I lost myself and was found” The one who walks in the love of God seeks neither gain nor reward, but seeks only to lose with the will all things and self for God: and this loss the lover judges to be a gain. Thus it is, as St. Paul asserts: “For me death is gain” [Phil 1:21], that is, my death for Christ is my gain, spiritually, of all things and of myself. Consequently the soul declares: I was found. The soul that does not know how to lose herself does not find herself but rather loses herself, as Our Lord teaches in the Gospel: “Whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it” (Mt 16:25). Should we desire to interpret this verse more spiritually and in accord with what we are discussing here, it ought to be known that when a soul treading the spiritual road has reached such a point that she has lost all roads and natural methods in her communion with God, and no longer seeks him by reflections or forms or feelings or by any other way of creatures and the senses, but has advanced beyond them all and beyond all modes and manners, and enjoys communion with God in faith and love, then it is said that God is her gain, because she has certainly lost all that is not God and has truly lost herself.

Christian Mystic Holy Mother Church Hermit: Seeking Loving, Good, Kind "Catholics"

I haven't yet removed "Catholic" from my blog, identifying title. I'm praying about if I should give in to a most disappointing person of many I've encountered in my nearly 27 years as a Catholic, having converted from being reared and for 44 years a Protestant Christian.  The reality I have sadly faced, is that I have not encountered in the 27 years, many people who are Christian plus who understand and read and live Catholicism.

Those who I have known as Catholics over these 27 years, and of those I met prior to my conversion to Catholicism--most who were kindly and loving people did not particularly know Catholicism beyond the rubrics and rituals, and did not delve into Catholic faith but did the obligations as they are called, such as Sunday Mass obligation and confession obligation once a year minimum, or prayed the rosary having memorized the prayer refrain, or did what are called novena.

Many otherwise were loving people who'd been reared to be good and kindly, loving and moral people.  But there was not interest in reading the Scriptures, or if so, there was still the focus on the system, the Catholic system of hierarchy and protocols, of blind following of often lost shepherds, and a keen interest or importance for a system within parishioners who either were active in parish functions and sought positions of importance, mostly with the priest/s, or parishioners who performed their worship obligations and otherwise came and went to do their duty as Catholics and of course, they believed in Jesus, honored Mary as taught, and had an adoration of the Eucharist, some to the point that as long as they got to Mass on time for Communion or were there and received Communion and then would leave, that was what mattered and not much else.  Receiving Communion on Sunday or Saturday evening was to them and many the essential reason for attending Mass.

Obeying priests without question, and never saying anything if matters were occurring not right or moral, or suspect--seems an ingrained rule.  Most Catholics seem unaware of the details or realities such as hierarchy and canon laws, but they know some of the saints and know they are to admire and love the "pope" or "holy father" and not go against anything of Catholicism for loyalty is key no matter what is reality.  There is no "if you see something say something" in most Catholic parishes.

But while they are fiercely loyal and love their Catholic heritage and upbringing and faith, I did not find many who knew or read much or delved beneath the upper surface.  They cater to priests and the seminarians, as that is encouraged by the bishop and the "system" for there is a need for more priests, and their lives and vocations are considered to be a massive sacrifice, especially that of giving up marriage, of being "celibate."  But those who feel sorry for the men and think what a tremendous sacrifice they are making, themselves often have made great sacrifices and even greater ones, unless having sexual intercourse is placed as the ultimate in life that one could "give up."

And sadly but to their credit and lived wisdom, even older priests realize, depending on their own sexual drive and preferences, that having counseled many married persons and their children, the married vocation in so many ways has far greater sacrifices and hurdles than being a coveted and honored priest who are obeyed and protected by parishioners no matter what they do, including behind the scenes, even if unkind, immoral, slothful, or having a double life and not of prayer....

I've met some marvelous people in my life who are Catholics.  A few were or are quite holy, kind, brilliant, and had positions of utilization of their God-given temporal gifts.  To them the Mass is more than receiving Communion, and they appreciate the time of worship, arrive before and remain through the hymn-music processional.  They fit into and accept the system that has been developed over the centuries and often have a collegial relationship with the priest due to the parishioner status and if male, sometimes have become a deacon, or are head of parish councils or on it.

The ones who love Jesus and love God and are truly aware of the Holy Spirit and have been reared and/or born with loving dispositions and good souls, generally educated and have virtues such as humility and charity to others, and who read Scripture and ponder it on their own, and even if go along with "the system" that has evolved and been developed by humans, often church leaders (bishops, cardinals, popes) over the centuries and wealthy donor members of noble class, often landowners or in government positions--these can be kindly and deeply good people today who are not lovers of God nor Catholic to have any particular status or prestige or clout. Of course, some do have or want that, or attain it.

There are too many aspects that could be listed that represent what people do to go along with the Catholic system, to fulfill the protocols and mores that have developed over the centuries, that bring stature among fellow Catholics, that please priests or build up the parish or make easier the administrative aspects, or promote the Catholic image, such as being open to life and having many children and also the status that comes when parents have sons and/or daughters who become priests or religious brothers and sisters.  That's a very big deal, and while it is wonderful when young people or even later on, give up their lives as married or single persons with careers in the world, and do it "for God" and "for Church."

They are taken care of for life financially, with housing and food, vacations, a modest salary but cash gifts from parishioners, and all maintenance is taken care of for them, a car given, as well as end of life care.  Plus there is the status and admiration, the utmost respect that comes to those in religious life as Catholics, is exceptional--and that includes respect if not some mystery, by those outside the church who find intriguing those dressed in clerical garb or Medieval religious habits and have taken vows of chastity whether or not in reality they missed sex much or not, or still managed to have love fulfilled.  Or some wisely put those desires into some other activity or interest, but sadly sometimes a habit such as food or alcohol, same sex alliances, internet.  Or in some, the few who would be classified as "saints"put their bodies, minds, hearts and souls  into Christ and Scripture through preaching, writing, serving the poor and sick, and being exceptional leaders, exceptional pray-ers, writers, evangelists and models of virtues.

I'm not sure what has become of my situation at this point.  My outer temporal Catholic life was fraught with abuse and ugliness by a priest and religious sister soon after I was confirmed, and some even from the get-go of private instruction with the priest.  For me, the temporal Catholic journey has been a lot of upset--deep angst and inner pain, many tears, shock of reality, and also a desire to find like-minded persons interested in Scripture and putting His Word into action, as well as spiritual conversation and holy friendship.  I yearned for such relationships as the British Christian writers, some who converted to or were Catholics or close to it, like C.S, Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, G.K. Chesterton.  I sought the converse and guidance of priests only to find they did not have lived experience of mystics and were administrators and calculated CEO types--even though the first one readily identified myself as a mystic...and also a victim soul of which I knew little but found out.

I sought loving friendships and found some, but my depth of inner life and desire for Christ--and I admit likely my mystic self which I tried to mask seemed to always caused my having to acquiesce and sublimate myself to the more temporal.   But there was envy and resentment that came with others, and there was ugliness and evil even in my following through with what the Virgin Mary in a vision told me I was to do, and how to do it: a type of soup kitchen not the usual pattern, with the main focus of going out to love, to give food and love to those in need of touches of love regardless their financial means or ages.

Also, right off I was forewarned of a terrible priest situation, but I did not want to believe it.  I could not bear to believe it, but I found out very painfully.  There would be more disappointing and shameful having to face realities and see persons, not just priests, as Jesus warned, "sheep in wolves clothing."  Somehow, that first one was the worst, heart-wrenching and horrible--and to think I'd been shown and warned even before I committed myself to the temporal Catholic Church's way of worship and life.

(And obviously, so much of even the temporal Catholic Church's way of worship and life is beautiful, with traditions rich in meaning and metaphor, writers and mystics and holy persons of great inspiration and insight, selfless followers of Christ throughout the centuries, lovers of His Real Presence and believers and baptized.  The Mass, of which I'll mention later on, is supreme and is a solid link to Christ's Living Word, a foretaste and portal of and to the mystical eternity that may be ours, and can be a type of the stairway to heaven.

But as to the woman who for now over 16 years has been a public, detracting thorn, I've had some very upsetting women situations, even from the get-go.  Some were women who resented my zeal and love of God, or the ideas the Holy Spirit inspired in me to help build up the parishes.  Some with emotional and/or psychological problems who wanted my help and friendship, but would not take advice when they asked but more used me as a therapist unpaid who I had trouble saying, "No more," for I care about people but cannot encourage unhealthy dependency and for no holy purpose.

Or there was the soup kitchen that Mary showed me to do, wanting me to "get out there and love!"  Especially in that, the devil got into kitchen workers for the Catholic grade school who would not share the kitchen well, and took their hatred and ugliness and meanness out on me since I was their target--despite we used the kitchen by approval of priest, for one evening and part of a day on weekends when school not in session.  The priest would do nothing to resolve the problem--pans and our donated food locked up, padlocks on cabinets and refrigerators.  I had sabotage from the first priest, and weakness from the next--as he knew he could do whatever he wanted including his long-standing homosexual affair with another priest and also to sexually harass my son.  For he knew he could turn people against me by doing nothing to stop the evil and psychologically unhealthy parishioners' or ignorant ones' shunning or gossip or whatever they chose.

It was all so far from Christianity unless we consider the demonic aspect of the spiritual life.  If not for a doctor volunteer and his wife (also a volunteer,  life-long Catholic in that parish, and had known me since we were childhood neighbors),  I'd have been run out even before the priest preached his weekend sermons against me--lies which the main volunteers knew were horrific, lies of which even the doctor's wife's elderly dad (who also knew me from childhood) said he'd never seen the likes in a Mass in his 84 years in that parish.   But no one stood up against the priest; no one stopped the outrage and sacrilege at the altar or the attack on me personally, as well as what it did to my then teen son, or the effect on all my Protestant friends who knew what was being said by Catholics about town--lies, and hateful, all of it.

Then onto another parish in a city, and worse there, but I was on assignment for God and knew it shortly after I got settled in.  Yes, I knew I'd been called to suffer at the first parish, and the second parish was horrific, but the third--plus a convent--finding out a religious sister had been grooming me to be in their group and a national group of hatred toward priests and men in general--not for me.  At my suggestion we parted ways, other than I said we remain praying for one another.  I'm not gay nor lesbian, not a hater of men or women either one, but a lover of Christ and brought up by parents and ancestral heritage to face and uphold truth, beauty, goodnesses --which is no small task, I've found out.

Not possible nor helpful to me at this point to go over the unhealthy or cowardly or even naive puppets of a system for most part created and sustained by humankind over centuries. I must emphasize also my love for a beautiful faith in the early centuries and great people onward, great writers, great theologians and spiritual teachers as well as also writers.  Great music, architecture and art, even if enforced/commissioned by wealthy bishops, cardinals, and popes.  Great hermits--the desert fathers and mothers, great priests.  And I was brought into the Catholic Church by God himself guiding, leading, through dreams, visions, locutions and miraculous meetings and situations.  And, in the Catholic Church I found out about these persons called "mystics"--perhaps one of the greatest blessings unexpected that God gifted me upon becoming Catholic.  I was not alone anymore or wondering what it was that caused me to have supernatural experiences with God and others who had passed on, along with the gifts that come with inner sight.

But I have not met anyone as persistently evil. hateful, and miscreant as this one who by trickery got me to email her over 16 years ago, and who since has been a nasty, derisive, and detracting, public voice ever since.  We have so much not in common, sadly, but that could shift if not for the devils' influence, and a sickness of pride, presumption, and envy that has known no ceasing for over 16 years.  No amount of prayers or various techniques offered to psychologically or spiritually get an alliance with her, for there is evil and hate in that person, a particular animus against me that has settled in the person.  Her main beef seems my writing as a Catholic hermit, of which I am, of course.  But she has a need to be superior, seems to resent competition of another Catholic hermit writing, or so say others who have observed this unChristian situation over the years.

But as had been my lived experience, Catholics tend not to stand up against such type of evil as they fear the devil to turn on them as well. Even her Vicar General who her Bishop's office (said they had never heard of her as a canonical hermit in their diocese!) did not want to intervene, not even find out who she is and guide her to not dox nor harass me using internet, given they are penal codes in her state.  They suggested I take civil legal action against her....  So much for diocese hermits being directed and supervised by their bishops (or as she has added, by a "designee" and not needing to be a priest....

If not for the Catholic and hermit reality, I still think this person who represents so many Catholics, especially women, would continue the ugliness regardless, as long as I keep writing, for she uses what I write as her foil often enough, as her fodder to come up with a platform to "preach" and try to be "someone with status," thus her inventing precedents and giving herself impetus and note to what ought to be a hidden life of a hermit.  So she puts me down publicly in order to try to build up what seems a spiritual emptiness, or a lack of inner security or healthy love of how God created her, or whatever issues going on--perhaps envy that I am heterosexual and have had a family, that I am educated with higher degrees, or that I'm a persecuted, suffering mystic and victim soul.

And the irony in these aspects, if she'd understand His Real His Presence, she'd know that degrees and our temporal life experiences and callings per se do not matter to the Trinity; in fact, a parent's joy and love and duties are to prepare the children to be responsible, God-loving adults and in some to be parents themselves.  God has been reminding me that my role and task has been finished for some time, and they are living their lives, and I'm to now be fulfilling the spiritual mission per His will.  For with the Trinity, what matters are our hearts, minds, and especially our souls.  Are we loving and kind?  Are we humble and charitable?  Do we focus on what is God's will for us and live our lives in His Real Presence, or are we consumed with human-created canon laws and human precepts that are taught instead as doctrines?  Do we demean another's online blog for over sixteen years out of psychological dis-ease and inner insecurity and hate, an insecurity that craves for sole status and importance as a somebody-hermit, wanting to be elevated as a dogmatic theologian?  Or by making up precedents for temporal hermits of canon law choice, by placing initials behind her name and wearing a medieval-looking habit, wanting to be a priest and writing and aspiring to preach sermons in communion services, when that is not a protocol for women and other non-priests in the Catholic Church--that somehow this will give some fame or stature that His Real Presence will not give?  Is being a bishop-approved hermit by a canon law as more valid than being a hermit approved and consecrated by God, a bishop saying live that life to which you've been called.  Is that more valid than trying to remain anonymous and simply share one's spiritual life and progression, step by step, no matter where it leads or what transpires?  This includes my not finding many, among Catholics in my 27 years, very many healthy, well-adjusted, accepting, Christian-types who can share discussion of His Living Word and the trials of applying His Teachings in our every day lives, or who can simply accept and not be put off or persecutorial of someone who suffers physically and who some find different in perhaps somewhat of mystical way.

I had hoped or assumed I'd be, as the first priest said, welcome in the church and among many mystics.  He said I'd be so welcome, as the Church was filled with mystics--that I'd feel at home.  [Hmm, an abusive foster home?  Obviously, as we learn as we progress in His Real Presence, our home is when we pass into His Mystical Church, Holy Mother Church, and from this life of suffering and trials.]  Then another priest told me when I asked where are these mystics--he said as far as he knew, they are dead.

So I try to know them through their biographies and writings and by inviting them to be my friend across the centuries and through the thin veil of this temporal world and heaven.  But the books I have, I find out from a highly regarded scholar who wrote a dissertation, included in review of the research, other scholars and himself who reveal that much of what the "saints" and "mystics" wrote had been edited and altered in their time periods, either by others after they died or by their spiritual directors and even themselves in life, so that their words and lived experiences of spiritual understanding and being taught by God, were altered or edited to fit the narrative desired by church leaders in their times.  Thus I must rely on the mystics themselves, on the other side who are in the fullness of Light of His Real Presence, to be my friends and to share their lessons and realities of God with me from heaven.

I ought write, also, in more thoughtfulness rather than brief mention, of the Catholics who have been amazing Christians, so thoughtful, loving, following Christ, striving to live His Word, kind, and helpful especially to me when the first priest was cruel and a collapse ensued, and some brought food and visited, and prayed, and implored another priest who then had a religious sister whose job it was, to bring communion.   There is the woman who has stuck with me for years now, except for two years during the aftermath of the soup kitchen and my demise, but I'm not sure she understands yet knows I've suffered for she knew of much of the persecution and the stripping I'm going through from temporal attachments.

There was the couple on the island who in the last partial year, brought communion and after five months realized I truly needed some physical help, so now and then would help with lifting, and one time took me to get wood splinter out of my eye, who helped put in some pole barn windows, and who helped wash windows to sell the house and packed up a Uhaul truck and my pickup when I moved. God bless them!  They were not into discussing other than family and prayer but were uncomfortable with anything I would have shared of numinous.  Yet I had plenty of suffering which is relatable and real, and have learned to converse upon whatever topic others bring up and desire.

Only with the late Fr. F. could I discuss the truths of experiences temporal and the supernatural.  Even if he'd say I was unlike anyone he'd ever met, but added that it is wonderful--actually that I was.  Too kind! My mother, also, seemed to accept my inner life and how I am, but was adamantly opposed to temporal Catholicism.  Dr. H. is adept in unusual and spiritual but is not versed in the mystical life, nor is he impressed nor approving of temporal Catholic Church of which he was reared as a child.

At this point, it seems my purpose in the Catholic Church is for my sufferings (of which are many, including the reality of heaven and mystical vs temporal, and whose life is formed and guided by His Real Presence and His Living Word, and not by that of humankind even if a system that has developed and perdured over the centuries).  Suffering is what I am called to do, and to appreciate that my sufferings and the sufferings of Holy Mother Church are made one--and why.

And I recognize that Holy Mother Church is not limited to Latin rite of what is called the Catholic Church, nor to the Methodist Church which has recently split, but of course the Roman Catholic Church even in this country (USA) is divided by politicized differences and scriptural and religious differences in essence, that of conservative and progressive or liberal differences in view of what Jesus taught and lived relative to what is in our society and culture and politics today.

But more so, it has become also a division of differences in spiritual life of those who are intent on the rubrics and traditions and human precepts and mindset of those who are Catholic progressives as opposed to those who are intent on Christ and desiring union with Christ, and want spiritual progression and following Christ more than following what humans have created and altered of His Church over the centuries.  So I guess those who are seeking His Mystical and Eternal Church of which Christ Is Head and no other and we lovers and followers of Christ are His Body--even in our imperfections but desires to be in union through, with, and in His Real Presence.

Also at this point in my suffering, perhaps God is not wanting me to find Christians who seek truth, beauty, goodness--but who are not new age or disrespectful of Christ and His Church--but who are realistic and see that there is this temporal church and there is His Mystical Church, Christ's Ideal and His Church that could have been and can be within us now and will be when we pass from life, to be in His Church for eternity with Christ our Beloved Head and Son of the Father, with the Holy Spirit--our source of all beingness and energy.

I have begun noticing in writing of early church authors and even those "canonized"--set apart as being extra ordinary in their desire and love of God and given spiritual gifts including the major virtues of love and humility--that there are those who saw even in second century and onward, the dichotomy developing, and who chose to speak and write truth that in some cases has not been altered. Perhaps some of these are obscure enough that it is not felt they are a threat to the focus of today's temporal church, system, and protocols of administration and membership.

I know if Fr. Fahey were alive, he'd tell me yes, but that I am an idealist. He'd tell me how sorry he is, again, that he did not stand up for me against some horrible persecutions and wrongs by Catholics, especially clergy including bishops; but in life when he was at retirement age, he kept distance from bishops and the like.  Nothing there that was going to help his own spiritual progression, and he knew that when alive so remained hidden for most part, praying and reading His Living Word, and trying his best to provide sacrament for the handful of sisters not man-haters at the convent in which he was chaplain.

I admit that the hate and ugliness I've experienced in so many, the blind following after lost shepherds who whether they. want to or not, feel and are bound as administrators of a system of humankind's creation, for the bulk and main and  and not free as are we seek union with Christ and desire being as Christ to others. We ought not be into shunning nor prisoners to the law and precepts of humankind, nor of those who would or did centuries ago and now simply would put down, the writings or ways of mystics and lovers of Christ, good and kind and loving people--by altering and editing out their writings.  When I read that only one part of John of the Cross' great work was not altered, I had a major "Yikes!" moment that has become another reality I must face and accept, and move on, swim on out into the deep as God directed me.  He is taking care of those remaining entangled in the nets, just beneath the surface of doldrum waters.

I admit I could have saved myself a lot of grief had I had the courage, myself, to do exactly as He said to do, and to trust His question which was itself an obvious "YES!", when he showed me the temporal trappings of the temporal church, and asked me why would I want that when I could have HIM directly now?   But I was unwilling to stop trying to fit into a temporal world of a temporal church that I'd been brought through, and except for my purpose of suffering with and for Her, my sufferings made one with the sufferings of Holy Mother Church.  And these sufferings are by no means over but are going to progress in severity of pain.  Yet I still had the directive from God to go on out into the deep of His Real Presence and to begin the Stairway to Heaven climb, and experienced the mystical ecstasies during Mass.

The ecstasies taught me what remains of Christ's Ideal in the Masses that are beautifully and holily offered to and in His Real Presence, of which human souls have the opportunity to recognize and be subsumed into Him if the Mass is holy and celebrated as He desires, and the apostles on down to our time in holy reality and truth, celebrating in love of God and holiness of mind, heart, and soul.  The Mass is our spiritual portal, depending on our soul disposition as well as the celebrant's and if the Living Word is preached and appreciated, and His Sacrifice appreciated and adored.  Holy, Holy, Holy:  Do this in remembrance of me, and for those of us who have faith to know and live our days and nights given us in His Real Presence, we never forget Him.

But my, oh my, dear God in Heaven!  What sufferings and injuries and two painful surgeries which I had to pay out of pocket with my parent's hard-earned money, as well as a severe neck injury which plagues me and if I don't die first, will require a serious and extensive surgery.  And this it seems due to the clergy's taking the old line of directing I was to say nothing and answer no questions, and the lead priest of where I was a member at the time, was so bothered by his OCD, that he could not tolerate that I was not standing at the Gospel as is protocol in the temporal Catholic Mass, and that despite obese people also in the handicapped pew not able to stand for the Gospel or receiving Communion, somehow my seeming to be asleep bothered him no end to the point, along with people injuring me because nothing was to be said--and he wanted me to not return.  He was the first of other priests who had at least more courage to outright say it:  Do not come to Mass here!  Or who would tell an employee to say it, or who would tell his parishioners to "Run her out!  Shun her so she leaves and does not come back to Mass!"

Other priests did it by putting me off in a room by myself or staring at me, not wanting to speak to me or even shake hand in the visiting area, or who would not return a call as I was going to request Communion.  Eventually after a year or more, the priest in that situation did mention to the couple, that there was someone to whom maybe they'd consider taking communion.  Whatever else he said, I know not, other than for a good six months they were awkwardly stiff, but we then became on friendly terms after they evidently figured I was not as whatever he or someone other in the parish had said.  Finally more surgery and a year recovery, and the pain of sitting, and Covid, and I realized the profundity of His Real Presence feeding me as He is in me and I am in Him.  And this is truth for all believers and lovers of His Real Presence who trust in His Word.

Well, I'm so very, very tired, Lord.  I brought upon myself more pain and weariness and upset and hurt by not trusting in His Real Presence and visions and messages to me, directives from the Most High God, but I lacked the courage to let go of the human desire to be accepted into what--a temporal church, when the reality of His Mystical Church, Christ's Ideal of His Church is just a matter of saying "yes" to leaving those in the entangling nets, not worrying about them for God will take care of them. I am to swim on out into the deep, in great faith given me, and to also being to climb the Stairway to Heaven to which I was led just a couple or three months after the nasty woman began her public written harassments and attacks, along with a couple of, especially one of them, spewing hate and derision to my Catholic hermit vocation.

I must keep in mind that a vocation is a minor slot and way of life in the temporal world; it is but a means of such as myself, to be secured away in quiet and solitude, in humble anonymity, to enjoy loving and nurturing any and all I encounter in the small duties of temporal daily life. Now also it is to tend and appreciate and love the little pups, God's creatures which He allowed me as gifts to help me keep going, to get up, to learn from their simple delight in nature and in the small details of life itself and of love and happiness to be alive. That is all.  Such simple yet profound creatures and teachers of humility, joy, and unconditional love are animals.

Of course God led me into the Catholic Church--and for this purpose and mission to suffer, so that my sufferings and the sufferings of Holy Mother Church shall be one.  This is my path and true mission for the temporal Catholic Church's ills, as shown me by God, and for the good of His Mystical Church, Christ's Ideal and Intended Church, and that which was called specifically "Holy Mother Church."  I find it wondrous that the angel who declared this suffering mission to me did not say "Catholic Church" or any other name.  No, God's Church is Holy and Mother, Mother of All, so not one rite or denomination.  But the temporal church of all kinds have become very temporal, and have been adulterated by humankind over the centuries and even the past years of those churches created or started by humankind.

I suppose then I could say I am a Holy Mother Church Hermit?  What I have referred to as His Mystical Church, His Mystical Eternal Church, is in fact, told me by the angel to be "Holy Mother Church."  Yes, perhaps that is what is my "hermit" affiliation indeed, in truth, by the power of that locution 27 years ago this month, just prior to my confirmation as a Catholic, of the Roman, Latin rite, on August 22, 1995.  And the connection with suffering is the irony of that date chosen by the first priest, for it was 21 years following, to the day, of my crucifixion at age 33, in the car accident that injured my spine for life and caused my earthly spouse a reason to leave after a marriage of infidelities, the extent of which were unknown to me but the increasing cruelty and control was a suffering I endured for our children's sake and family unit.  'Twas not to be, a family unit other than God was my Spouse and the children's true Father all those years.

Maybe I don't need some healthy and spiritual friends and correspondents in this life who are Catholic but have grasped the temporal is and has been passing away, also, and they recognize Christ's Ideal of His Church--yes, Holy Mother Church, His Mystical Church for all eternity that is pure and of which Christ Is Head. But I'll see what transpires. I still have books to read, which even as a Protestant and then as temporal Catholic, had become my source of solid and healthy spiritual friendships. I must rely on the mystics and holy ones on the other side, on my guardian angel, and most of all converse with my Spouse, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and God my Heavenly Father.

But now I realize that am not technically in the way of the mystical of God, a "Catholic hermit", but in actuality by the beholding of an Archangel of God, I am Holy Mother Church's hermit, for I was consecrated in this vocation by His Real Presence, not a temporal, human person nor by a recent human-made law, but by the Divine Will.  I just don't think this person, filled with anger and envy, rage and resentment, is able to accept this reality no matter my prayers, but my prayers are still my offering as incense offered to my Spouse on her behalf.

I'd still like to have the situation with the woman to stop.  Perhaps my actuality as a Holy Mother Church's Hermit is God's way of providing a means for her to cease and desist, to move herself on to more worthy writing topics, and for her and her minions to stop reading mine if it causes her such consternation, with ugliness gurgling forth to demean and detract someone who belongs to His Real Presence, who suffers greatly, and does not want her unkind attention.  Playing nice and not obsessing over my Catholic hermit vocation and what I write might help change others' perception of temporal Catholic Church and Catholics not being Christian.

Yes, I'm having extreme physical pain from the spine, much nerve pain, and for the sufferings of Holy Mother Church.  Never is easy, and the pups Love and Mercy are napping and going without walks again, but I get up to take them out for bathroom breaks.  They sense my pain; God blesses the innocent, sweet creatures so close to Him and friends to us humans, if we love and learn from them.  I've written on and on, but I'm practicing to do as I've been advised by a good friend of many years, a doctor of wisdom and understanding, like an ancient tortoise is fabled to be. He said that when I write, write from my inner truth and my lived experience. When I finish, no matter if others will find it to their understanding or if they make judgments, I am to rejoice and say "Alleluia!  Alleluia! I have written my truth and experience!"

[As to the woman hermit who writes a non-anonymous blog and who cannot seem to let go of being bothered by me as a writer and as a hermit, Catholic, consecrated by God, of the traditional historic hermit type of the ages, and now more accurately Holy Mother Church Hermit--I have nothing against you other than the obsession and ugliness that tends to come forth regarding my Catholic hermit vocation and whatever else.  At one time you went into a verbal rampage, even cursing and demeaning my expressing the suffering that I endure and happened to be writing about--a therapeutic catharsis, it is, to write out the pain.  I just pray and hope you can give it up, your animosity or whatever it is.  I'm your bugaboo, which is so silly as well as not Christlike for you to develop such an obsessive animus over anyone.  Not to upset you, but perhaps you have a touch of OCPD and counseling might help, and not by the designee woman who helps you with spiritual life.  Use your insurance from the parish position and if need be from monies given for spiritual direction you've mentioned you do on the side, and pay for an excellent clinical psychologist who is adept in such matters. Just my suggestion, if it might be helpful to consider.  I get counseling to help with pain management from time to time and to accept my parenting role coming to an end, considering they are all adults now and with successful lives of their own!  I was very attached given that I literally lived for them, was sent back when I died July 28 in recovery, 1987, and God sent me back to rear my children and then to fulfill my mission.  They have been reared for some time, but I am very attached with love for them, and also likely some neediness to be included and accepted despite the pain and limitations. But God is stripping me, for I must focus on fulfilling my mission for Him, and be grateful and praise God that the adult children and their children are all doing so well in their lives!  Praise His Real Presence! I just hope the same for you, that you can let go of this attachment to being bugged to bits and angry and erudite and public in your detraction of me as a fraud hermit and whatever else.  It's not true, for one thing, but it's also very nasty and only pulls you down in your own life and soul.]

To all who may read my blog and all in my mind and heart:  God bless His Real Presence in us!  Love in His Love!

Christian Catholic Mystic Hermit: Suffering and Spiritual Progression

Finally drove not far to the nearest ER where two years ago I needed to also go.  That time it was a DO who instead of a zpack that I expained for years of my annual sinus infection is what works to rid out the illness, had prescribed Augmentin despite my explaining that drug specifically has never worked for me.

Similar situation with the young GP (general practitioner) who prescribed one dose pack of Azithromycin, which did help some and kept the crud going into my throat and lungs as it had two years ago with the DO's poor decision to ignore my sincere, honest input.  So I was at the ER then for help, as I was this afternoon, for help.

The ER doctor had no qualms of a person needing a second go around with an antibiotic if the person was still quite ill and needed more to knock it out.  I've been ill for four weeks now, and I'm still for most part bedridden other than to take the pup (over 5 1/2 months old now) outside for her elimination needs.  When I stand up and walk, I can "feel the earth moving under my feet."  The sinuses are impacted yet, but there has been progress.  Just stuck, though, with this level of too much sickness to be able to function much.

I gave that doctor a most sincere "GOD BLESS YOU!" as he was finishing up, and he appreciatively thanked me for my gratitude.  He also put through to that particular hospital system's case manager to find a new GP for me plus an ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat specialist) as I'm not opposed to going to one, but a good GP can handle easily one sinus infection a year, and grasp that it might take two z-packs to clear the sinuses of infection.  The young doctors tend not to be able to handle sinus infections, at least not in my lived experience

So I made progress today with the ER doctor, and I'm praying along with the azithromycin that God will use His healing love and power to help me improve, make progress in feeling well enough to be up and about without dizziness and feeling so sick.  The pup has had enough of no walks, no errands where she can go inside and be adored by other customers.... She loves her fans.

And I figure I've made progress in suffering as well as in spiritual understanding in a most positive regard.  I understand more the positive passageway of the temporal Church and the positive passageway of the stairway to heaven.  The former seems to me to be necessary, for there is so much to learn and ways in which to grow in the temporal Catholic Church! I cannot imagine what my life would have been without these years of spiritual growth and learning more than I can begin to describe.  And the temporal Protestant churches as passagways to God prior to my conversion to Catholicism also provided much especially in His Living Word and conversational prayer, plus acts of love and kindness, helping others, and loving one another.  But Catholicism is massive learning in comparison, and rich and deep--and the Mass is incomparable to anything in other churches.

I was fully expecting to remain stagnant, safe and secure in the temporal Catholic Church, go to Mass which I love, once or twice a day for the rest of my life.  I had come to accept I'd not be actively involved in parish outreach programs, but I did not know but was not surprised when God showed me His will in the hermit vocation.  That was already forewarned by a vision 13 years prior when my grandmother appeared and told me that I would need to learn to hibernate like a bear for protection from the world.

But God does not expect nor want us to remain stagnant in our spiritual lives any more than we remain stagnant in our physical, temporal lives. So I found myself wondering, having a hard time believing and trusting that God was progressing me not just spiritually, but that spiritual progress includes ourselves--ou bodies, minds, hearts, and souls.  I did not let go, did not detach, nor die to my thinking that nothing would change regarding my being in a parish and in daily Mass, in tangibly receiving Communion nor in tangibly going to confession with the priest as a stand-in, or intermediary, of Christ--in alter Christi.

I finally understood and grasped this with a peace and positive fullness not long ago.  This after many attempts to ignore what His Real Presence had offered me, was asking of me, was telling me His will.  I marveled at my guardian angel leading me to the stairway to heaven; I rejoiced when Christ explained the consummation would not be after our most glorious post-wedding banquet, and that I was to pay no attention to parishioners and priests henceforth, but to remain strong, to wait, and emphasized yet again to "REMAIN STRONG."  He had to attend to other souls but would return for me.  Just wait and be strong.

The spiritual life does not necessarily and I suppose rarely, occur in one fell swoop of insight and growth.  The spiritual life is a gradual progression over the course of a Christian's lifetime.  It then continues on into eternity.  We graduate from one level into the next, over and over and over in metapmorphoses which occur in nature with such as the butterfly.  Thus, while I delayed this next phase by my not trusting, not having the faith necessary for I simply had a hard time understanding why God would not have me remain in the temporal Catholic aspects, and instead have me pass through that long corridor, seemingly going on infinitely of a vision the night prior to my Catholic conformation.

In earth years, it was nearly to the day and might have been exactly 13 years after that vision came the vision and locution of my guardian angel taking me by my right forearm and telling me I was being led to the Stairway to Heaven.  Indeed, that occurred, and the last I knew of that matter, I was standing at the base of a stairway glorious, that seemed to go onward, upward, infinitely.

Then when priests and parishioners did not want me in their parishes due to my having mystical ecstasies during Mass which priests were bothered by and also rumors that I could see into people, priests in particular, and parishioners thought I was being rude or faking a spiritual phenomenon, that was when the banquet occurred four years after the ecstasies began.  The mystical wedding had occurred several years prior to even the stairway to heaven vision; and the espousal of my soul occurred in June of 1987 when I was a Protestant!

So we can know that spiritual progression often is spread out over decades. It just depends on God's will and way and His timing which might not be years to God but is to humankind.

Now that I'm grasping that the temporal Catholic Church at some point gives way to His Mystical Church, I return within to the Stairway to Heaven and what it is that I am to learn and how to progress on the stairway, having now accepted that I have progressed through the passageway the in my spiritual life has led to the stairway to heaven.  What next?

I suppose to continue to take note of that which makes the temporal Church temporal, and seek what is in the temporal Church shared with His Mystical Church, and to ask His Real Presence to help me adapt to His Mystical Church.  I doubt that will take much in human years once one in faith accepts the passageways as means of our spiritual progression, and not to cling to one nor the other but remain fluid in His Real Presence, to be done with and shown whatever He wills, and whenever and however He wills.

All I can do is share my own experiences and progression, and the passageways as they are shown me and what they represent. So I'm now facing the Stairway to Heaven and have passed through the temporal Church and understand now that I am in His Mystical Church.  I must remain open and with faith, trust, hope--and continue to strive in my own likely awkward ways to practice living as God loves.  While I ask Him to teach me how to love as He loves, there is that part of me that is eager and will try, also in what I think it is to love as God loves.  He understands, and hopefully laughs a bit at my strivings!

It has always seemed with me, regarding His Real Presence which is God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit (the Holy Trinity), to put one foot forward knowing that His Real Presence will soon enough correct me or also take me along by the hand or have me follow along in His Footsteps.  Now I must image that stairway I was shown, wide at the base and narrowing as it ascends, and going on upward beyond what even my spiritual, inner eyes could see.  Image the stairway and contemplate the aspects of His Mystical Church, and more so participate in His Mystical Church which is eternal yet accessible while yet in our bodily forms.

That is all I am going to share or explain for now.  I have been in the past few posts trying to explain the temporal and the mystical Church, and I might not have done a good job of explaining, nor that His Mystical Church is not an utter rejection or renunciation of the temporal Church.  The temporal Church as I mentioned toward the beginning of this post, seems requisite to me, to progress through as it is also a passageway that links on to the Stairway to Heaven, and where we will be in His Mystical Church at some point in our spiritual progression.

All according to God's will and our cooperation, in His time and way and will be when we let go more of the temporal aspects of the temporal Church that are not His per se, and seek His ways and seek Him all the more, and being willing to begin the climb, one by one, a lonely-seeming ascending, but in mystical reality not alone at all. But temporally, bodily, no: we climb the Stairway to Heaven of His Mystical Church, some in this temporal life while we yet are in temporal bodies, but our bodies are not what makes the assent. Others will climb the Stairway to Heaven in this temporal life.

I know not why not, other than perhaps God has those remain in the long passageway of stone floors and walls and rooms off to the side, with much instruction, books, learning to be done according to the ability to progress in faith, hope, and love, as well as to die to and relinquish attachment to temporal, including temporal Church.  Some he may have in the temporal Church to help others to grow and learn and if priests, to hopefully learn the reality of the Mystical Church and show the way to their flock, giving glimpses at the altar, from the temporal into the Mystical Church.

Or, for priests themselves to pass through the temporal-spiritual passageway themselves and experience the Stairway to Heaven, His Mystical Church--although this latter would require much courage for a priest, and to keep much hidden for there would be many who would not understand--parishioners and those above him in the temporal hierarchy such as bishops and cardinals and even a pope.  For, some while on earth will be interested in temporal progression, not so much in ascending the stairway to heaven and experiencing His Mystical Church.

Perhaps this year's sinus infection, the suffering going on now into the fifth week, has been beneficial in my asking His Real Presence to help me understand what is going on in my spiritual progression.  And thus, the visions and the Scriptures--His Living Word--have been falling into place beautifully with connections and seeing both passageways.  Also, I have been shown, through His Living Word and what is in temporal actuality or not, what is the temporal Church of today and what is not the temporal, thus what is His Mystical Church of which I do believe I have but marginal balance on the first step.

I don't expect anyone reading this to grasp or understand the reality of the passageways and progressions from temporal Church and our temporal belief to His Mystical Church and our spiritual progression.

God bless His Real Presence in us!

Love in His Love!

Christian Catholic Mystic Hermit: More Correspondence Regarding His Real Presence, the Trinity

I'm not getting through to the person who corresponds and  has tremendous devotion to writing biographies of what a lengthy process that has evolved and expanded since the third century--that of, for want of better explanation:  saint-making.  It has become known in recent centuries a "canonization process."

My interest, of course, is His Real Presence in me and me in His Real Presence and living the Law of God--the Law of Love.

This is how I responded, for I tried to encourage the person to consider coming alive in His Living Word and us writing of His Real Presence Who sustains us in His Living Word, but the friend's heart obviously remains in that of these people, good Christians in life they are, but most in the last few centuries having been elevated through a process they on earth would shun--but are now labeled after a massive ceremony after years of a group of people earning salaries and putting in full-time work for those years, so these people can be "canonized" and called saint-this and saint -that.

And where does that leave many people?  Their hearts and minds more into these saints than in His Real Presence, even though they might say that theses "saints" show them how to live a Christian life. But why cannot, since we are in His Real Presence and His Real Presence is in us, we live as followers of Christ Who Is His Real Presence, Who in full is the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?

Here's what I wrote in response to biographical sketch written to me of Peter Julian Eymard, a wonderful Christian man, I'm sure in life and now deceased to the temporal but enjoying eternal life!

Dear X,

Your trips to Kroger are productive, I'm sure, and maybe partly the need for pumpkin bread ingredients or even the healthy additions baked in by your talented hands!  "May the Lord grant success to the work of your hands!" (I have always loved that Psalm-forget which one by number but content matters, I suppose.)

I have been pondering how we as humans are so attached to the temporal and have trouble detaching but seems the work of life to learn to detach as we are dying every moment physically, and our souls and hearts and minds though, can be growing and all in preparation for eternity or "Heaven."  And I am noticing that in recognizing His Real Presence in me at all times and places no matter my thoughts, emotions, and bodily condition, and I am in His Real Presence (Trinity which includes Jesus, of course, which then includes His Body and Blood or what is termed in the Catholic church, in substance, the Eucharist but in tangible also known as the consecrated Host)--that the signs and wonders no longer matter as far as His Real Presence always being in me and me in HRP.

However, they provide some encouragement, for sure, and are helpful--such as the Holy Spirit having sprinkler Station Three of all those heads spraying and turning off properly, automatically, and the constant gurgling stopped. I had asked the Holy Spirit and also Jesus, my Spouse, to please help as I was overburdened and overwhelmed with the added maintenance problem.  God provided, and I praised them for it and am sharing that most helpful miracle with you now.  Praise HRP!  (His Real Presence!)

So Peter Julian Eymard actually had devotion to the Eucharist as a stepping stone to at some point if not on earth but in heaven then, not having devotion to the "Eucharist" per say but to His Real Presence who we realize either here or at death or after progressing farther after we die but before we are in fullness of life, truth, beauty, goodness and the Light of the HRP, the Trinity.  I had always had a tremendous devotion to the Eucharist until now for 13 years ago with the onset of the mystical ecstasy, I was in the gradual progression and understanding my intense devotion is actually to and in and with and through His Real Presence who is in me constantly and I am in His Real Presence constantly.  No longer is the devotion to a consecrated tangible--however, and this is important, from birth on we start to attach and be dependent after the great detachment of sorts when we are born--detach from His Real Presence in mystical and spiritual, and we are born into bodies and minds and emotions with souls but we are taught this and that attachment to function in this life, and to learn the ways of the temporal existence while still having minds, emotions and very importantly souls.

So in part of religious training and to get the idea so that we can grasp His Real Presence in us and Us in Him, Jesus used bread and wine to help us learn faith and that the bread is His Body and the wine is His blood, and we are to break bread and drink one one with another in prayerful and holy intent of love of God and in remembrance of HIM.  A transubstantiation occurs.  Jesus knew and knows how it is us humans immersed in temporal life and our spiritual reality clouded if not shrouded.  Even the Disciples had a terrible time understanding some parables and asked him to explain, or did not grasp the power of God's law of love and of great faith in God and the ability then to drive out demons and to perform miracles. But they started to learn and especially with the help and grasp of the Holy Spirit Who Jesus gave to humankind at Pentecost as yet another way and means and to visualize, with the dove as a symbol, or fire like thousands of tongues, and the miracles that occurred in that event alone.  Faith and understanding kind of grow together.

It is a matter of progression, and of opening ourselves to the acceptance of His Real Presence without the need remaining of the tangible and temporal at some point, and of course it will definitely be for everyone when they die, but it is all right and helpful to grasp when younger than I am, that is for sure.  I have been not letting go of that tangible but was forced by God to let go and in the ecstasy be shown how His Real Presence is sustaining me in the elements that we otherwise know as His Living Word, and Eucharist without a tangible Host at all, but fed spiritually more effective and efficient in that way as we are in HIs Real Presence all the time and HIs REal Presence is in us), plus in conversation with God--Prayer. We are sustained by this Trinity that comprises the Mass, so in that way the Mass is always in us and we are in the Mass.

I considered how Jesus went to a distant spot to be alone and away from people to ponder and mourn the death of John the Baptist, but His Real Presence always exemplifies, and actually makes REAL, the Law of Love, so when all those people figure out his location and many were there waiting for him--imagine the human might have the "uh-oh" moment of "here we go again--no time for myself to even grieve," and yet the His Real Presence of the Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, the Trinity, immediately goes into loving and having compassion and concern for them so began teaching and explaining in whatever ways humans can generally grasp when beginning to learn spiritual truths--through parables, as they were hungry spiritually, and after some time of teaching, their temporal bodies were hungry, also.

So a miracle provided for the temporal, but mainly it was to help solidify what He'd taught them, so that their faith could be increased--kind of like a benchmark or a blessing, the miracle of bread and fish--feeding them what in essence was spiritual for the temporal increased miraculously, spiritually, mystically.  Jesus was teaching what God had tried to impart upon Ezekiel, when God had Ezekiel eat the scroll of Scripture, Living Word of God.  That, too, was a tangible form of "Eucharist" in a way, but the spiritual reality is that of consuming HIs Real Presence is superfluous once we have "consumed" the reality that HRP is in us already, always, everywhere, in all ways--and we are in HRP, as well.

That is why in he ecstasy I began experiencing in any and every Mass beginning nearly 13 years ago, I never had any hunger for the tangible host and never was lacking, and have not been since in that way--but I was hindering the progression by my not getting it not realizing that God was leading me on and to grasp the ways in which HIs Real Presence sustains us in our very SOULS, in all ways and always.  But we have to get to that point of grasping, and His Real Presence provided temporal-spiritual method in the Last Supper, and taught much of the spiritual in what has been termed the Last Supper Discourses.

The great devotion, of course, is actually a devotion to His Real Presence Who Is in us and we are in HRP, and to exhibit and the overflow extending out to all souls and creation is that of HRP's (and our--since we are in HRP and HRP in us):  LOVE.

Love in His Love, and God Bless His Real Presence in us!

Christian Catholic Mystic Hermit: Correspondence, Vision of Souls, Do Not Become Ensnared in Temporal Nets

Another correspondence to someone in attempt to explain pitfalls of not to become ensnared nor to remain ensnared in the temporal nets that can occur in various aspects of life, including the temporal and man-created, man-developed aspects of church, including the temporal aspects of the Catholic Church.

The Lord has been progressing me, working on me, expanding me for what is next.  I have been opened up to think and feel and "be" in terms of "Christian".  I have prayed as to why He brought me into the Catholic Church, and there are several reasons.  And now He has taken me through the portal, through the other, yet not without great effect and linkage, but out the temporal attachments and emphases.

I'm praying about what I'm to be "being" next, or even beginning it now. I'm fairly sure I'm to share the many experiences of God I've had in my life, from way back, as a soul who loves God and Christ and the Holy Spirit. There must be some reason for all the visions and locutions, the death experience, and various unusual phenomenon and occurrences, and I think it is to help others maybe realize how very real is God in our lives, in our midsts, as our Creator and All.  I'm thinking in terms of video or documentary style sharing rather than in writing.

But I'll continue to pray what is His will and desire, and why and what He wants me to do with it all, if anything. But I know it could inspire or help others--not particularly Catholics--but for those mostly who are not Catholic, the Gentiles, so to speak, of which I've always felt I was a Gentile Christian and now transitioning through the temporal church, temporal aspects of Catholic church now,  As it turns out. I'm more deeply Christian, though, and the spiritual of Catholicism provides treasure, and the writings left from the early centuries and those who grasped the spiritual over the centuries are guides; yet the temporalized aspects of Catholicism have been a warning to not get caught in those entangling nets.

I appreciate the Christian mystics and any holy and good persons, of course!  I appreciate all those associated with Christ when on earth, and prior and after, including those around me who are holy and good souls--such as friends and some priests over the years who are very much, holy souls, lovers of God, believers in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit!

I don't need persons or protocol to tell me who is holy and who is not; God lets us know in various ways, who are holy and good souls even if they are in process, for all are in process, even the canonized saints were in process. That is why it is nice to point out and award people with honors for doing well and being great examples of following Christ, but it is not necessary for all the emphasis put on it.  Some put much focus on some of these aspects such as saints, rather than on Christ, and the people who have been made into saints through process and ceremonies and label themselves do not want it, any more than Christ wanted the people to make him into their king.

Why not look to the "real deal" as the example, and allow the Holy Spirit to be as Jesus said--our Paraclete?  However, it is natural to look to other people and to appreciate the ones who stand out as particularly Christian and as close to Christ as is humanly possible.  These are in all religions and faiths and creeds--godly people.  God is removing me from my narrow limitations that I took on in my desire to fit in, and is helping me to see the "saints" canonized as having themselves flown free of all that, themselves.  They eschewed it.

But I also accept we people including within various Christian churches including within the Catholic church and also of varying religions are all in different places, as the vision given me years ago of what are souls, showed me. We are all in sameness in form but in various positions in the spectrum of progression toward the Light, and there is no essence of rushing or of judgment; all were progressing and all will come into the Light who are in the universe and that vast trajectory of convoluting, involuting, as if semi-transparent, living rubber cones-- our souls constantly moving within themselves, convoluting while yet constantly progressing toward the Light.

I wish I could paint the various visions with motion added. It would be breathtaking and explain so much. But that was one of the more vast and esoteric of visions, the vision of what is the soul and all our souls in relationship to one another and to God. The other visions were more concrete, images more of temporal earth and personages I'd recognize.  Or such as Mary who appeared and announced herself as Merari, and was of the image and likeness of people of Sumatra.  Mary is universal Theotokos.

I consider a "canonically approved hermit" who continues bleating about canon law 603 and of canonically approved hermits and about every aspect imaginable of canon law 603 and this and that persons in whatever judgment makes of their being true to CL603 or not, or who is or is not to be a Catholic hermit approved or not by the one's  estimation. On occasion this "canonical hermit" gets onto temporal societal topics, and from personal, temporal viewpoint opines upon what in self opinion is right or wrong and broaching into what self deems spiritual immorality and sin, degrading those who fall into the sin category and heralding those who are in agreement with how this person views matters.

I had been months away but took a look at what the one writes as an "approved by a bishop," canonical Catholic hermit, wearing religious garment of some past century's conception--similar to what Francis of Assisi wore, perhaps.  I was able to see that nothing had changed except I was not the targeted obsession any longer. I had stopped writing labeled as a "Catholic hermit" (of which I am if dwelling in the temporal protocols historically established traditionally by the Catholic Church centuries ago as a result of those in the Church who lived the hermit life and identified then if by anything, as "Christians."  They were "Catholics" in that there was no Protestant reformation. There have been hermits in other world religions, of course, before there were Christian hermits and before the Catholic hermit designation or the distinguishing of "Catholic" became pronounced due to development of Protestantism.

But I asked myself again, after seeing that even though I was no longer the target, the topics remain focused on a canon law and whatever born out of that or from being "approved" thereof:  Is that the fruit of years of being a Catholic, the fruit of Catholic faith, of having Catholic approval to a label of a way of life that is but one of many forms of vocation?

We are not God, and temporal Catholic regimen is such a temptation to certain personality types, and feeds on those who love external locus of control, and any one of us can become stuck, ensnared in the temporal Catholic nets.  And I have been tempted to be stuck, myself, and enmeshed myself in much of the temporal regimen in order to fulfill my human and pathetic need to be accepted, to fit in, and desire for something to fulfill an ideal. But the Catholic church is not God. It is made up of the Body of Christ and Christ as the Head.  It is also a means on earth, a help, a process to  help us learn much, be as supporters of one another, to come closer to God.  The church helps progress us and provides the penultimate gathering of two or more together in prayer and worship. That is, if we do not get caught, or at least not caught for long, in the temporal entanglements of the regimen that humans created, but the bulk of which Christ did not create nor seem to intend if one studies His Living Word.

I find that the earliest centuries of Christianity and the early Church are very helpful in reading what the holy Christian "catholic" people wrote, the Christians of the one Church despite how humans quite soon began to re-interpret and create other than what Jesus taught and lived.  The great writings of holy people of the early Church is one reason God brought me into the contemporary Catholic church--to learn!  As a Protestant, so much was never broached.

I also feel that God wanted me to get to know the Christian mystics, for they are all but missing in the Protestant churches. I had no conscious clue of them, prior.  When I read the first book written about seven of them--not calling them by "saint" but as women who had lived their mystical lives, they included Simone Weil [did not become member of Catholic church] and Rose Ferron, and of course Julian of Norwich, Catherine of Siena, Teresa of Avila, and two others--for the first time I found people I could relate with, people like me. Catholicism opened up so many, long before Protestant Reformation, who I could read about, get to know as if personal friends-- read their own words in writings extant.  But I also read how they were mistreated, many of them, and used for the purposes the temporal church and people not behaving so well as Christians, seemed to want.

These mystics did much good, of course, as they were good and holy humans, touched by the Holy Spirit.  They had a mission and purpose such as we all have, but they found theirs in clear and defined ways and fulfilled them as best they could or knew how, regardless if Catholic or not. It is said Simone Weil was close to being Catholic but did not out of deference to her Jewish roots.  The women in the first book I read, not yet a Catholic myself, really did more outside the grasp of the temporal Catholic church, yet the Church claimed them and promoted, such as Teresa of Avila and Catherine of Siena, who belonged more to God than to church.  But it was through her being allowed to found the Discalced Carmelites, that Teresa had the freedom to be more on her own path and of helping others into the spiritual life, rather than the temporal legalisms and orientation, such as the one I mention above and many others in the temporal aspects of Church continue with and in.

It is a good example of how I became caught up or even thought perhaps God wanted to use me to try to break through to the person via my blog posts which responded and reacted to this person's temporal emphasis on requirements and regulations--while I was trying to shine light on the spiritual and mystical realities.  I was so foolish to get caught in that snare of a debate.  It is as old as he devil.

Writing of God, JesusChrist, the Holy Spirit and how our lives daily and nightly are guided and led as we are in Him and He is in us, maybe seems not as easy as writing about people who have lived and died and of which much is written.  That is why I find His Living Word and God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit so fascinating and REAL, as they are REAL and inside us, and we are inside God.

What is love, and where does love reside in us? Where does love reside in God?  Is it love that motivates, such as my apologizing to neighbor man for my tenseness, when God needed me to also face his weakness and temporal greed. None of that incident  matters now, for God moved me on from seeing the weasel-type behavior.  We are all animals, of sorts, if we stay in that aspect, but we are created by God to rise beyond through, with, and in Christ, with the empowering love of the Holy Spirit, as God wants of us all.  It's all a marvel, really, the reality of God in us and us In God.

I'm pondering Heaven today, and the Gospel gives Jesus' parables of what is Heaven.  And I'm pondering, also, why He spoke in parables, for spiritual reality can be too much for most humans to grasp.  That is why dreams and visions are often metaphoric and images that represent or explain are clues, so to speak, to the truth and reality. Probably the closest to actual image of the soul was a vision I was given years ago, of what is and are our souls and how our souls progress.  The vision was quite simple but in vast expanse, out in the universe, and each soul shown as a cone-shaped unit which involuted over and over while at the same time steadily progressing toward an immense, centrifugal light.

All these cone-shaped, viscous-type, alive yet all the same visually, rubbery-like and nebulous--souls--kept turning inside out repeatedly while at the same time, concurrently, moving forward, advancing silently--millions of them all individual in their position of progression but all the same in appearance and this involuting motion, advancing simultaneously toward the center of the universe of all universes, from which came the immense and drawing-to-Itself Light.

I was told without words, this is how our souls grow and progress, never static, never standing still, none in the exact same spot or location in the progression, but always processing in multitudinous soul-procession, toward the great Light. And all around as if in the cosmos, all these cone-shaped, viable, rubbery, nebulous souls are in the billions, involuting while at the same time progressing all toward a center point in the  toward the great Light.  (I realize I'm repeating the description that is not easy to describe, and wish I had the skills to create a moving visual using internet technology to demonstrate the incredible, awe-some sight of souls in process of living and growing and progressing toward God, never ceasing, always going forward to the center of God the Creator and Source of All Energy and Beingness and Love.)

I notice that Jesus accomplished what the prophets before Him tried to teach and explain, to show glimpses of what they were shown and were told.  God needed to have Himself come as one of us, as His Son to be among us and teach and show and try to explain and exemplify what the prophets could not fully do.  So in part, Jesus through use of parables was teaching and announcing what had lain hidden--the spiritual, mystical realities as well as practical and perfect instruction on how we are to live and love among one another.  He also taught and exemplified to us how we are in God and God is in us, and of the importance of living God's law of love, the greatest of all laws and commandments.  Love God above all things and love others and ourselves as God loves, as we are in God and He is in us.  Jesus was announcing, living, teaching, exemplifying these truths that have been from the beginning of creation.  Our souls are spiritual.  Love transcends the temporal.

Here's the Gospel of Mathew, 13: 31-35, in which Jesus teaches and speaks of the kingdom of heaven, and all spoken to the crowds in parables:

"Jesus proposed a parable to the crowds. 'The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a person took and sowed in a field.  It is the smallest of the seeds, yet when full-grown it is the largest of plants.  it becomes a large bush, and the birds of the sky come and dwell in its branches.'

"He spoke to them another parable.  'The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with three measures of wheat flour until the whole batch was leavened.'

"All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables. He spoke to them only in parables to fulfill what had been said through the prophet: 'I will open my mouth in parables, I will announce what has lain hidden from the foundation of the world.'"

Love in His Love, and God bless His Real Presence in you!
