Reminder That This Is the Answer

Am considering on this anniversary day of Confirmation in the Catholic Church, that God is pleased to take us where He wills, and we must quietly, calmly, sweetly step forth and follow. On 8-9-95, the priest nothing had been told to go to, and who had privately instructed nothing, said that he may as well confirm nothing since it had done much reading and knew as much as he felt could be instructed in words.

So he chose a date: August 22, 1995. He did not know this was the date of nothing's major life upheaval. With his surprise decision to go ahead and confirm nothing, nothing had a sudden panic and prayed in bed that night, asking if God really wanted nothing to become Catholic. No one in nothing's Protestant family and friends base did; that had been made clear! It was going to be quite a step.

And during the night, a dream came from without to within.

An arched hallway extends beyond human sight,
stone and wood reaching upward in Gothic point;
double doors stand open, doorway upon doorway,
at close intervals, down, down this eternal passage.

To the left are windows, their tiny triangular panes
filter soft light from an out-of-doors
which bespeaks of lush, green foilage casting
misty fertility on this peaceful corridor.

To the right are solid walls of depth
and purpose, an occasional closed door
which may be opened, as necessity or desire
may request study and respite along the way.

I stand in the first open portal, my eyes
gazing upon this my soul's pathway, and
seeing all opened before me, nothing closed,
seemingly I am free at last to take this step
through this first doorway of doorways,
into that which God has prepared for me,
into His Holy Church and His Sacred Heart.

Later, as if this sight were not enough, I ask:
May I step now
into this my heart's longing,
tread in awe upon silent stones, worn
smooth and tear-damped by reverent souls?

Pleased laughter resounds like pealing bells,
a Holy antiphon to my gingerly quest.

"My darling child!" (And more laughter.)
"There is nothing holding you back.
Of course, you may enter, for it pleases Me!"

[No photo available of this event. It is in the memory file. And when it seems that the Lord is asking of nothing, another step in faith, to enter into another room behind another door of door upon door, nothing is thankful to have the answer to reflect upon. Maybe even to grab tight, and to recall the laughter and how pleased His voice sounded. And now, there is nothing holding nothing back, other than the waiting, again, for whatever is now and next.

In the meantime, it edits, and it considers doing an act of the will to please the One who is pleased with souls who become Catholic, and remain Catholic no matter what they find behind some of the doors. So nothing will make an intention for its earthly mother and for its Heavenly Mother, the Queen, and ask its soul to take its temporal body, by the grace of God, to Adoration, and to sit that body there, and to offer whatever pain in celebration and gratitude for the 13 earthly years and however many more of those, and for the lessons or respite behind whatever doors to be opened.

--For the one who wrote apologized for having thought nothing was one gender over another, it doesn't matter. Nothing is a genderless soul, nesting in the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Souls are genderless, but they are placed in one or the other genders here. God creates nature, and He creates our souls to exist as He ordains, in and amongst His natural creations. You, too, are an angelic, genderless soul, in an earthly frame of one gender other than the other!]

* Amazing...F. just e-mailed as I finished this post, and he asks for prayers, as he realizes he must begin looking for a job that is more stable financially, as he has a lovely wife and four children, all very Catholic and devout. He is one written about a year or so ago, whose soul was in such turmoil and dangerously close to perdition due to a plight. He has become a kind of spiritual tenderling. So he is now assured that he is the intention the Queen desires of nothing, to get itself up and out and to Adoration!
