Tears at Agnus Dei

Must be our Sorrowful Mother weeping at Agnus Dei this afternoon, and the nothing Catholic hermit is thankful, for it is tired out from yesterday's fertilizing and planting some roses.

The rain comes and goes. The Canon lawyer priest celebrated noon Mass, and he spoke on the Gospel--and emphasized not worrying about tomorrow: total faith in God's providence, for all our needs. A prayer of the faithful is emphasized with a check-mark made by the rector for the early Mass: detachment from possessions.

Nothing asked the priest, as we walked from the chapel, if it is all right to be attached to the beauty of flowers! Nothing has purchased more roses, inspired by their beauty as it drives by a small nursery on its way to and from Mass each day. So it stopped yesterday morning, considering it being Friday, Christ's special day in suffering for our redemption. There is a section behind the small greenhouse with last year's rose stock, and they are discounted. Some beautiful Red Ribbon roses were among the finds.

The enthusiasm builds, as one must not give up on roses. The nurseryman, Bob, told nothing to fertilize more often; and, he advised a better way to winter the roses. Yes, one must try again and put into practice what is taught. So like the spiritual life!

Back to the priest, who said that the Virgin Mary LOVES flowers.... He said she used to decorate the temple with flowers, and that she likes REAL flowers--not those artificial ones. He said that being attached to something so beautiful and from God is entirely different from other attachments.

Of course, one must have the intention, the motive, the desire firmly implanted in the soul before planting more flowers in the soil. Omnia pro Deo! O dulcis virgo Mariae!

Then the Canon lawyer priest said, "Oh, it is raining, again. He began to walk-run rapidly toward the rectory, and nothing cannot walk-run so continued to walk, knowing that wet will dry. It called out, "So thankful for this rain, as there will be no need to drag heavy hoses about the Mary Gardens today--an answer to prayer!"

The Canon lawyer priest laughed a bit as he scurried off. Nothing had left its car windows open. Nothing laughed a bit, at this wet that will dry. The rains torrent-fell the closer it came to the nursery where seven more roses awaited pick-up. And the rains stilled their drops when nothing arrived, just long enough to pay and load up. Nothing is pondering what the priest said about Mother Mary LOVING flowers! And REAL ones. Well, may she be pleased here at Agnus Dei!

Such little tears drop storm steadily on the roses planted and the roses in containers, on the trees and perennials and the few annuals, on the grass and on the groundcover (struggling). Tears sheeting down on Lake Immaculata now. Tears coursing through the nerve endings, sending pain messages to nothing, who had better take St. Catherine of Siena and read a few pages in bed, and probably nap a bit before readying for late afternoon Mass.

Tears will dry for tomorrow, and nothing will (God willing and body able) plant some roses for Our Lady's delight and Jesus' honor. So much depends upon perspective, and it is good to be attached to God's view, and then to begin to learn, also, Mary's view, for her view connects God's view and our tendency to attachments of varying kinds and degrees.
